Tue Apr 29 22:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Twins Rout Guardians, 11-1, Extending Winning Streak

**Cleveland, OH** – The Minnesota Twins hammered the Cleveland Guardians on Monday night, securing an 11-1 victory and extending their winning streak to four games. The Twins’ offensive explosion saw 17 hits from 10 different players – their first such performance since June of last year. Six players notched at least two hits apiece, highlighted by Ryan Jeffers’ three-RBI game including a two-run homer. Edouard Julien also contributed a leadoff home run.

Bailey Ober pitched a stellar game for Minnesota, allowing only one run over 7 2/3 innings to earn his third win in his last three starts. Byron Buxton and Ty France each added two hits and two RBIs to the Twins’ offensive onslaught.

The Guardians, meanwhile, struggled defensively, surrendering 24 runs in their last two games. Their pitching woes continued as starter Gavin Williams gave up four runs and seven hits in just two innings. Paul Sewald also exited the game early due to right shoulder inflammation, forcing shortstop Will Wilson to pitch the final two innings. Steven Kwan’s 11-game hitting streak remained intact, but it was little consolation for the Guardians who have now lost three straight and four of five.

The Twins’ potent offense was particularly effective with runners in scoring position, going 8-for-14. The Guardians’ pitching staff faces significant challenges going forward. Chris Paddock (Minnesota) and Tanner Bibee (Cleveland) are slated to start the next game in the series.
