Wed Apr 30 07:50:00 UTC 2025: **Former FBI Agent Credits Trump Administration with Increased Safety Due to Immigration Arrests**
Washington, D.C. – A former FBI special agent is praising the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, claiming it has significantly increased public safety. Jonathan Gilliam told Fox News Digital that the administration’s efforts, spearheaded by Border Czar Tom Homan and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, are responsible for a decrease in crime.
In the first 100 days of the Trump administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested over 32,800 illegal immigrants, including 14,111 convicted criminals and nearly 10,000 with pending charges. Additionally, ICE apprehended 1,155 suspected gang members and 39 known or suspected terrorists. This contrasts sharply with the 14 suspected terrorists apprehended in the same period of 2024.
Gilliam highlighted the case of Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera-Rosa, an illegal immigrant arrested for the murder of his girlfriend, as an example of the positive impact of these arrests. He also cited a recent ICE operation, “Operation Tidal Wave,” which resulted in nearly 800 arrests, including alleged gang members and individuals with Interpol Red Notices.
The arrests extend beyond illegal immigrants; Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan was charged with obstruction after allegedly shielding an illegal immigrant from ICE agents. Gilliam emphasized the importance of holding accountable those who obstruct justice in these cases.
Gilliam stated that the increased arrests are leading to a decrease in crime rates and that illegal immigrants are no longer receiving a “free pass.” The Trump administration’s tough stance on illegal immigration, he argued, is making American streets safer.
