**NELLORE, Andhra Pradesh –** Six people, including five medical students, were killed in a tragic car accident in Nellore district on Wednesday. The speeding car, carrying students from Narayana Medical College, veered off the road and crashed into a house near Pothireddypalem village.

The victims included five students – Abhishek, Jeevan, Naresh, Abhisai, and Yagnesh – and a 65-year-old homeowner, Venkata Ramanaiah. One student, Navaneeth, survived the crash and is currently receiving treatment at Narayana Hospital.

Police reports indicate the students were returning from a function when the accident occurred. The car reportedly lost control while climbing a hill.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, assuring state support. Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed his grief and called for stricter road safety measures in response to the tragedy. The accident has highlighted concerns over road safety in the region.
