Wed Apr 30 17:46:02 UTC 2025: ## Bengaluru Private School Accused of Forging Fire Safety NOC
**Bengaluru, April 30, 2025** – A Bengaluru private school, BGS Bloomfield School in Thyagaraja Nagar, is facing legal action after allegedly forging a fire safety NOC to obtain CBSE affiliation. The Vidhana Soudha police have registered a case against the school chairman, Gurappa Naidu, and trustee, Sunitha Naidu, following a complaint by advocate Sudha Katwa.
Ms. Katwa’s complaint stems from a writ petition she filed against the school for allegedly building on a stormwater drain. During the proceedings, the school submitted documents, including a fire safety NOC from the Anjinapura fire office – an office outside the school’s jurisdiction. Ms. Katwa’s subsequent RTI request revealed the NOC to be fraudulent.
Further investigation revealed alleged tampering of building sanction plans, with the school reportedly constructing a four-story building despite plans for a hostel. The school is also accused of operating without an occupancy certificate. The accused are charged under several sections related to forgery and potentially illegal operations. The case highlights the alleged use of falsified documents to gain affiliations and operate outside legal parameters.
