**Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu, India –** A 30-year-old man, Pandi, was killed in a violent altercation stemming from a long-standing land dispute in Somanathapuram, Karaikudi, on Tuesday night. Police reports indicate that the dispute involved Pandi and Raja, a 33-year-old crane operator.
The conflict escalated when Pandi and his friends allegedly attacked Raja’s wife, Pandeeswari, on Monday night. In retaliation, Raja attacked Pandi with a wooden log, also injuring Pandi’s brother, Suresh, who attempted to intervene. Both brothers were taken to Karaikudi Government Hospital, where Pandi was pronounced dead.
