**Los Angeles, CA** – A recent viral Facebook post claiming a Netflix Tremors reboot starring Kevin Bacon sparked excitement among fans of the cult classic horror film. However, Newsweek has debunked the news as false, clarifying that the originating account often shares inaccurate information.

While a Netflix series is not in the works, the Tremors franchise is far from dead. Stampede Entertainment, which recently reacquired the rights to the original 1990 script, announced it is exploring new projects. These possibilities include a sequel set in the original film’s location (“Perfection”) and other creative concepts featuring the iconic graboids in new environments. Importantly, Stampede confirmed that any new project will not be a reboot with a new cast, nor will it be based on the unused script for Tremors 5.
