Wed Apr 30 03:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Gold Prices Dip in India Amidst Easing US Trade Tensions

**Mumbai, India** – Gold prices experienced a decline across India on Tuesday, mirroring a global trend influenced by easing US trade tensions. The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold ranged from ₹97,541 in Chennai to ₹97,693 in Delhi, while 22-carat gold prices varied slightly lower across major cities. In Mumbai, for example, 10 grams of 24-carat gold cost ₹97,547 and 22-carat gold was priced at ₹89,417.

The decrease follows a softening of trade disputes between the US and its trading partners, reducing gold’s appeal as a safe-haven asset. Globally, spot gold fell 0.8% to $3,314.65 an ounce, and US gold futures dropped 0.7%. Analysts attribute the decline to increased optimism surrounding potential trade deals, with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent citing positive proposals from several key trading partners, including India. This positive sentiment, coupled with China’s recent tariff exemptions for certain US goods, contributed to the decreased demand for gold. Despite the price dip, gold remains a popular investment option in India.
