**Paris, France –** France has sharply criticized Israel’s decision to bar two French delegations, including elected officials, from entering the country. The Israeli Embassy cited links to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a group designated a terrorist organization by the US and EU.
The French Foreign Ministry denounced the Israeli Embassy’s accusations as “unacceptable” and called for the decision to be reversed. The ministry stated that the ban was “regrettable, counterproductive, and damaging to Franco-Israeli relations.”
The banned delegations were associated with the Decentralised Cooperation Network for Palestine and the France-Palestine Solidarity Association (AFPS). Israel maintains that it is acting within its rights to prevent entry by groups it deems a threat to its security.
