Wed Apr 30 12:30:00 UTC 2025: **Penn State Blue & White Game Concludes in White Team Victory**
STATE COLLEGE, PA – The 2025 Penn State Blue & White Spring Game, played Saturday under sunny skies at a partially renovated Beaver Stadium, saw the White team emerge victorious with a 10-8 win. The game, which for the first time in years was not televised or livestreamed, featured an unconventional format.
The game began with a unique 7-on-7 drill showcasing the skills of key players like Nicholas Singleton, Drew Allar, Devonte Ross, and Tyseer Denmark. This was followed by a kickoff competition, won by Gabe Nwosu, giving the Blue team an early 2-0 lead.
The traditional game then commenced, with a notable rule change: players were considered down upon being touched, rather than tackled. A Matthew Parker field goal and a touchdown pass from Jaxon Smolik to Malik Samuel gave the White team a 10-2 halftime advantage.
The second half introduced tackling, although quarterbacks remained exempt. Quinton Martin scored a touchdown for the Blue team, but a failed two-point conversion left the final score at 10-8 in favor of the White team. The game served as an exhibition, showcasing the talent on the Nittany Lion roster and offering fans a glimpse into the upcoming season.
