**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has ordered a thorough investigation into the Simhachalam incident following a high-level review meeting on Tuesday. The meeting, attended by top officials including the Director General of Police, discussed the sequence of events and relief efforts.
To ensure transparency and accountability, Mr. Naidu formed a three-member committee composed of senior IAS and IPS officers to conduct the inquiry. The committee, which includes Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar, EAGLE Chief A.K. Ravikrishna, and Chief Engineer of the Irrigation Department Venkateshwar Rao, is mandated to submit a preliminary report within 72 hours. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of a swift and transparent investigation into the matter.
