**BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (April 29, 2025) –** Alabama Power announced today the appointment of Stacey Turner as vice president of its Environmental Affairs organization, effective immediately. Turner brings extensive experience in environmental law and policy to the role, having previously served as associate general counsel for Environmental Policy and Litigation at Southern Company Services Inc. Her responsibilities will encompass environmental compliance and strategy, as well as overseeing the company’s environmental stewardship programs. Prior to her time at Southern Company Services, Turner held a lead environmental lawyer position at Georgia Power and began her career at the Morris, Manning & Martin law firm. Turner holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida. The Alabama Business Charitable Trust, funded by Alabama Power, will also be providing $250,000 in emergency bill assistance.
