**JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia** – Al Ahli secured a thrilling 3-1 victory over Al Hilal in a fiercely contested Asian Champions League semi-final clash in Jeddah on Tuesday, advancing to the final and keeping alive their hopes for a first continental title.
Goals from Roberto Firmino and Ivan Toney put Al Ahli in command in the first half, before Salem Al-Dawsari pulled one back for Al Hilal just before halftime. The game shifted dramatically when Al Hilal defender Kalidou Koulibaly received a second yellow card, leaving his team to play a man down for the final 30 minutes.
Despite a late penalty save by Al Hilal goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, Al Ahli sealed the victory with a late goal from substitute Feras Al-Brikan. Al Ahli’s coach, Matthias Jaissle, praised his team’s performance, highlighting their unity and the support of their home crowd.
