**Visakhapatnam, April 29, 2025** – The Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) held a special ceremony on Tuesday to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. While the actual anniversary falls on April 14th, the VPA chose to celebrate on a larger scale this week.
Port Chairman M. Angamuthu paid tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, emphasizing the enduring relevance of the Constitution in guiding the nation. The event also included the awarding of merit certificates to students who excelled in recent Class X public examinations. The ceremony was organized by the VPA’s SC/ST Officers’ Association and SC/ST Employees Welfare Association.
