Tue Apr 29 02:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Government Clears Path for 10th Grade Result Release; Telugu Language Preservation Debate Heats Up
**Hyderabad, April 27 (Namaste Telangana):** The Telangana government has finally resolved the issue of printing 10th-grade mark memorandums, paving the way for the imminent release of results. The Department of Education, under Secretary Dr. Yogitharanga, has issued orders mandating that mark memorandums for the 2024-25 academic year will include both marks and grades, despite the removal of the grading system for the current year. Internal assessments will be included this year only, due to delays in the implementation of their removal. A committee’s recommendations on printing procedures have cleared the final hurdle, with results expected within two to three days.
Separately, a roundtable discussion organized by the Telugu Bhasha Parirakshana Aikya Karyacharana Samithi at the Somajiguda Press Club saw prominent academics demanding the continued teaching of Telugu as the first language from Class 1 to the degree level. Speakers also urged the government to issue orders for the Sanskrit exam in the Intermediate course to be conducted only in Devanagari script and called for the formation of a committee to protect the Telugu language. They emphasized the importance of government orders being issued in Telugu as well. The meeting was attended by Professor Chintakindi Kasim, former Telangana Sahitya Akademi chairman Dr. Nandini Sidhareddy, and MLC Kodandaram, among others.
