**Hyderabad, India –** Telangana BJP president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy accused Pakistan of orchestrating the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), claiming it’s a diversionary tactic amidst Pakistan’s internal struggles with food shortages and unemployment. Speaking at a party meeting Tuesday, Mr. Reddy asserted that the attack aims to destabilize the region’s progress since the revocation of Article 370.
Mr. Reddy expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to punish the perpetrators and those behind the attack, highlighting the international condemnation of the violence. He emphasized the need for peace and harmony in India, citing J&K’s development in recent years and a significant decrease in stone-pelting incidents. He attributed the attack to Pakistan’s disapproval of these positive developments.
The Minister further claimed that the Modi government has a “zero tolerance” policy towards terrorism in J&K, crediting the government with ending serial bomb blasts, communal violence, and terror attacks over the past decade. The meeting concluded with a resolution condemning the Pahalgam attack. Mr. Reddy also predicted a head-to-head contest between the BJP and the Majlis Party in upcoming GHMC elections.
