Mon Apr 28 21:03:44 UTC 2025: ## Maharashtra Congress Demands Probe into MHT-CET Exam Irregularities

**Mumbai, April 29, 2025** – The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has demanded a thorough investigation into alleged irregularities in the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) held on April 27th. MPCC President Harshvardhan Sapkal alleges that numerous questions on the mathematics paper contained incorrect answer options, potentially affecting thousands of students’ futures.

In a letter to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Sapkal stated that reports from students indicate 20 to 25 out of 50 questions in the mathematics section had no correct answers, with some questions containing four incorrect options. Students who reported the issue at exam centers were reportedly ignored. Further complaints cited server outages at some testing locations.

Sapkal emphasized the severity of the situation, stating that the errors could significantly harm students applying for engineering programs. He called for accountability and urged the government to blacklist any institution responsible for preparing or conducting the flawed examination. The Congress party demands strict action against those responsible and assurances that such negligence will not be repeated.
