**New Delhi** – Mitchell Starc, the expensive Delhi Capitals recruit, ended a six-game powerplay wicket drought in style against his former team, Kolkata Knight Riders, today at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Australian left-arm pacer, acquired for INR 11.75 crore at the mega auction, had gone 69 balls without a powerplay wicket following a strong start to the season.
After a shaky start against KKR, conceding two fours and a six in his second over, Starc bounced back, bowling around the wicket to dismiss Rahmanullah Gurbaz with a full ball that nipped back and took the edge. Despite ending the drought, Starc’s powerplay spell remained expensive, costing 35 runs in his three overs.
