**HYDERABAD, INDIA – April 29, 2025** – Hyderabad police have successfully dismantled a significant drug trafficking operation, arresting five individuals and seizing narcotics valued at over ₹1.4 crore. The operation involved two separate raids conducted on Tuesday.

In the first, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) and Nallakunta police apprehended four suspects, including two inter-state suppliers. Harshvardhan Shrivastava, an architecture graduate from Madhya Pradesh, and B. Srinivasa Rahul, a former IT engineer from Chennai, were allegedly using encrypted apps and cryptocurrency to source and distribute drugs across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai. The seized items included 1.38 kilograms of hydroponic ganja (OG), 44 LSD blots, 250 grams of magic mushrooms, cash, mobile phones, and two-wheelers.

A separate raid by the Central Zone Task Force and Ramgopalpet police led to the arrest of Sunil Bindhani, a 29-year-old Odisha resident, who was caught transporting 1.1 kilograms of ganja from Odisha to Hyderabad.

The police highlighted the sophisticated methods employed by the traffickers, including the use of darknet marketplaces, encrypted messaging apps, cryptocurrency transactions, and courier services. Investigations are ongoing. The arrests represent a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in the region.
