**New Delhi, India** – In a thrilling encounter at the 48th match of IPL 2025, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) posted a challenging 204/9 against Delhi Capitals (DC). Winning the toss, DC captain Axar Patel opted to field first.

KKR got off to a fiery start with Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine laying a strong foundation. However, the partnership was broken in the third over with Gurbaz’s dismissal for 48. Ajinkya Rahane steadied the innings but KKR suffered further setbacks with the loss of Narine (27) and Rahane (26). KKR, currently seventh on the points table with only 7 points, desperately needed a win to keep their playoff hopes alive after a run of two losses and a no-result in their last three matches. Their middle order, including Iyer, Russell, and Singh, have consistently failed to deliver big scores, adding to the team’s woes.
