Mon Apr 28 23:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Indian Politician Owaisi Condemns Pakistan, Supports IWT Suspension

**Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, India –** All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly criticized Pakistani politician Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s threats against India following the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT). Owaisi condemned Bhutto-Zardari’s “blood will flow in rivers” remark, reminding him of his mother’s assassination by homegrown terrorists. He also dismissed former cricketer Shahid Afridi’s comments on a recent terror attack as “joker-like.”

Owaisi voiced his support for the Indian government’s decision to suspend the IWT, but expressed concerns about the storage of Indus River water. While backing the government’s actions, he called for Pakistan to be placed on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list due to its alleged funding of terrorism. He further advocated for cyberattacks against Pakistan, citing the UN Charter’s right to self-defense.

The AIMIM leader also criticized the government’s deterrent policy, suggesting that the recent Pahalgam terror attack highlights its shortcomings. He stated that India’s superior military strength renders Pakistan’s threats meaningless.

In contrast to his support for government actions regarding Pakistan, Owaisi opposed provisions of the Waqf Amendment Act, deeming them unconstitutional. He specifically questioned the inclusion of non-Muslims on Waqf boards.
