Mon Apr 28 17:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Suryavanshi Storms to Fastest Indian IPL Century

**Jaipur, India** – Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history in the Rajasthan Royals vs. Gujarat Titans IPL match, smashing a breathtaking century off just 38 balls. This makes him the fastest Indian to reach a century in IPL history, surpassing Yusuf Pathan’s previous record of 37 balls. While Chris Gayle still holds the overall fastest IPL century record (30 balls), Suryavanshi’s performance was nothing short of spectacular.

Suryavanshi’s onslaught included a brutal assault on Gujarat Titans bowlers, notably a 26-run over against Ishant Sharma (three sixes and two fours) and a stunning 30-run over against debutant Karim Janat. His aggressive batting left no bowler unscathed.

The excitement was palpable, even prompting Rajasthan Royals coach Rahul Dravid, usually seated in a wheelchair, to stand and applaud Suryavanshi’s incredible innings.

At just 14 years and 32 days old, Suryavanshi also became the youngest player to score a T20 century, breaking Vijay Zol’s previous record. His innings, punctuated by seven fours and eleven sixes, ultimately ended when he was bowled by Prasidh Krishna. Despite his dismissal, Suryavanshi received congratulations from the Gujarat Titans players.

Suryavanshi’s explosive innings also included several other milestones. He achieved the fastest half-century in this IPL season and the fastest for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans. He also became the youngest player to score a half-century in IPL history.
