Mon Apr 28 03:30:00 UTC 2025: ## CBS Axes Several Shows, “The Equalizer” Future Uncertain

**New York, NY** – CBS announced significant changes to its fall 2025 programming lineup, canceling several series while adding new shows. “FBI: Most Wanted,” “FBI: International,” “S.W.A.T.,” and “Poppa’s House” will not return. The network will, however, introduce new programming including a “Blue Bloods” spinoff (“Boston Blue”), an “FBI” offshoot (“CIA”), and new series “DMV,” “Einstein,” and “The Road.”

The fate of the popular drama “The Equalizer,” starring Queen Latifah, remains uncertain. While the fifth season concludes May 4th, CBS has yet to renew the show for a sixth season. According to Deadline, Queen Latifah has reportedly agreed to cost-cutting measures to improve the show’s chances of renewal. However, even if renewed, a 13-episode sixth season is being considered as a final run for the series.

A planned spinoff of “The Equalizer,” starring Titus Welliver and Juani Feliz, has been canceled by CBS. The pair appeared in a backdoor pilot episode which aired on April 20th, but the network will not be moving forward with the project. It is currently unclear if Welliver and Feliz will appear in any remaining episodes of the main series. The future of “The Equalizer” remains the biggest question mark in CBS’s upcoming season.
