Mon Apr 28 12:52:22 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh BJP Leader Seeks Skill Development Centers for Srikakulam
**Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh –** BJP leader Hanumanthu Uday Bhaskar has called on the central government to address the issues of mass migration and low per capita income plaguing Srikakulam district. In a meeting with Union Minister Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar on Monday, Bhaskar highlighted the district’s dire economic situation, citing Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s recent confirmation that Srikakulam has the lowest per capita income in the state.
Bhaskar urged the minister to establish skill development centers to provide local youth with job opportunities in sectors like pharmaceuticals. He also proposed the creation of research centers focused on coconut and cashew cultivation to boost farmer incomes. Minister Sekhar reportedly responded positively to the proposal and pledged support. The BJP leader further suggested a comprehensive survey to identify the root causes of Srikakulam’s economic challenges.
