**COIMBATORE, INDIA (April 28, 2025)** – Two supporters of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), K. Chellamuthu (26) and M. Manoj Kumar (21), were arrested and later released on station bail following an incident of alleged DMK flag damage in Coimbatore. The arrests stemmed from a complaint filed by a DMK worker alleging that the pair vandalized flags displayed near the airport to welcome Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, who visited the city on Sunday.
In a separate incident, the Peelamedu police registered a case against TVK Coimbatore district secretary V. Sambathkumar. This case involves allegations of an illegal assembly of party supporters at the Coimbatore airport on Saturday and reckless driving causing public nuisance. The charges include violations of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act, as well as the Tamil Nadu City Police Act. The complaint was lodged by Lakshmi, Village Administrative Officer, Kalapatti west.
