Mon Apr 28 05:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh to Release 10th Grade Results with Subject-Wise Marks and Grades
**Hyderabad, [Date]:** The Andhra Pradesh Department of Education has announced a significant change in the format of 10th-grade mark sheets. According to an order issued by Education Secretary Yogitha Rana, this year’s mark sheets will display subject-wise marks and grades, abandoning the previous system of cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
The decision, reached after a 20-day deliberation following a proposal submitted on August 8th, mirrors the CBSE format. The mark sheets will clearly indicate the marks obtained in each subject, both for written exams and internal assessments, along with the corresponding grade. A pass/fail status will also be explicitly stated.
Furthermore, the mark sheets will now include grades for co-curricular activities, covering Value Education & Life Education, Art & Cultural Education, Work & Computer Education, and Physical & Health Education.
While the CBSE system only provides subject-wise marks and grades without a total score, it remains unclear whether Andhra Pradesh will follow suit or include a cumulative total score. This detail is yet to be confirmed.
The clarification regarding the mark sheet format removes a significant hurdle in the release of the 10th-grade results, which are expected within the next two to three days. However, the recent transfer of the School Education Director, E.V. Narasimha Reddy, and the yet-to-be-filled vacancy might cause a slight delay.
