**SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (KUTV)** — A fire near the intersection of 3378 South West Temple and Silver Avenue in South Salt Lake has caused a widespread power outage affecting 2,747 Rocky Mountain Power customers. The fire, currently contained to a single location at the entrance of Silver Avenue, is being addressed by crews from the South Salt Lake Fire Department, Unified Fire Authority, and Embridge. While firefighters are not actively battling the flames at this time, power has been cut off in the area between 3300 South and 3900 South until the situation is resolved.
