**Amethi, Uttar Pradesh –** Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will make his first visit to his former constituency, Amethi, since the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, beginning a two-day trip to Uttar Pradesh on April 29th, party officials announced. The visit will include stops in Rae Bareli and Amethi.
Gandhi’s itinerary includes the inauguration of a new heart unit at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Amethi and an inspection of the Munshiganj ordnance factory. He will also review the Indira Gandhi College of Nursing. His first day will involve attending a District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting in Rae Bareli.
The Sanjay Gandhi Hospital is run by the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Trust, with Sonia Gandhi as chairperson and Rahul Gandhi as a trustee. The visit marks a significant return for Gandhi to the area he formerly represented in Parliament.
