**KOCHI, Kerala – April 28, 2025** – Ernakulam Rural Police announced a significant drug seizure yesterday, recovering 30 kilograms of suspected ganja. Three migrant workers, identified as Suhail Rana Mandal, Alan Sheikh, and Haseena Khatoon, all natives of Murshidabad, were arrested.
The arrest followed a raid in Muvattupuzha, led by the newly appointed District Police Chief (Ernakulam Rural), M. Hemalatha. Police reports indicate the suspects attempted to evade capture, traveling by train from Odisha to Thrissur before taking an auto-rickshaw to Muvattupuzha. The seizure is considered one of the largest in the Ernakulam Rural district in recent months. The investigation is ongoing.
