**KOCHI, INDIA (April 28, 2025)** – Kochi International Airport (CIAL) experienced a disruption this morning following a hoax bomb threat. At 7:53 a.m., an email from the address achimuthu_ahmed_shankar@outlook.com claimed an RDX explosive device had been planted at the airport.
Authorities responded swiftly, convening a threat assessment meeting at 8:55 a.m. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted anti-sabotage checks of all airport terminals, with Kerala Police conducting similar checks on the city side.
