Sun Apr 27 19:35:00 UTC 2025: ## Netanyahu Demands Complete Dismantling of Iran’s Nuclear Program

**Jerusalem, April 28, 2025** – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a stark warning, demanding the complete dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program. Speaking in Jerusalem on Sunday, Netanyahu insisted that any future agreement with Tehran must also address its ballistic missile capabilities. He stated that Iran must be stripped of its capacity to enrich uranium and that the prevention of ballistic missile development must be a key component of any deal.

Netanyahu’s forceful statement comes amidst ongoing indirect talks between Iran and the United States, mediated by Oman. A third round of talks concluded on Saturday, with both sides reporting progress. While a US official described the talks as “positive and productive,” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi indicated further work is needed to bridge remaining differences before the next round of negotiations next week.

The current situation stems from the collapse of the 2015 nuclear deal, which limited Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief. The agreement was abandoned by former US President Donald Trump in 2018. Since his return to office, President Trump has called for a new deal with Iran, while simultaneously issuing threats of military action should negotiations fail. The international community remains wary of Iran’s nuclear ambitions, which Tehran continues to deny are for anything other than peaceful purposes.
