**Kottayam, Kerala – April 28, 2025** – The Ettumanoor Police have filed a chargesheet against Jibin George for the murder of Civil Police Officer Shyam Prasad. Prasad was killed on February 2nd while attempting to stop George from attacking a woman at a roadside eatery in Thellakom.
The chargesheet, which includes statements from 64 witnesses and scientific evidence, cites multiple sections of the BNS (presumably the Indian Penal Code, though this needs clarification) against George, who is a known history-sheeter. The investigation was led by Station House Officer Ansal A.S. under the supervision of Kottayam District Police Chief Shahul Hameed A.
