**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has urged a grand welcome for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit on May 2nd, 2025, to relaunch the Amaravati capital development project. In a teleconference with NDA leaders, Naidu emphasized the project’s importance as a symbol of Telugu pride and stressed the need for a smooth and successful event.

Naidu highlighted Amaravati’s potential to generate significant revenue for the state, comparing it to the economic contributions of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai. He detailed the government’s ambitious plans, including the establishment of industrial parks across all 175 constituencies, aiming for “One Family, One Entrepreneur.” The construction of a Rayalaseema steel plant, the development of Visakhapatnam as an economic capital, and Tirupati as a spiritual city are also key components of the plan.

Significant investments, including ₹100,000 crore from ArcelorMittal Steel, are expected to bolster the state’s economy. The Chief Minister also outlined plans for infrastructure development in Rayalaseema, transforming it into a logistics hub with improved connectivity to Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Naidu acknowledged opposition to the project but urged leaders to counter misinformation campaigns and highlight the government’s achievements. He cited progress in various sectors, including the allocation of funds for the Polavaram project, the sanctioning of the Visakhapatnam railway zone, and the allocation of ₹11,400 crore for the steel plant. Furthermore, the government has implemented various welfare schemes and issued a notification for 16,347 teacher posts. The government’s commitment to welfare and development, even amidst challenges, was reiterated. The teleconference included key leaders from the Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena Party, and BJP.
