**Belagavi, Karnataka –** Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s speech at a Congress-organized “Save Constitution, Save Nation” rally in Belagavi was disrupted on April 28th by BJP activists. The protestors, who included women, shouted slogans against the CM, chanted in favor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and displayed black flags. One activist even reportedly told the CM to go to Pakistan.

The disruption lasted several minutes, drawing attention away from the CM’s address. A visibly upset Siddaramaiah questioned the police’s response to the incident, expressing dissatisfaction with the handling of the situation by the Additional Superintendent of Police, Dharwad. After intervention from senior Congress leaders and ministers, the CM resumed his speech. The police subsequently removed the protestors.
