Mon Apr 28 16:26:47 UTC 2025: ## Amaravati Capital Project Relaunch: Naidu Assures Farmers of Support

**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated his commitment to the welfare of farmers who donated land for the Amaravati capital project. Addressing farmers at his Undavalli residence, Naidu announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will relaunch the capital’s construction on May 2nd. He emphasized that this date marks a “historic turning point” for the state.

Naidu acknowledged the sacrifices made by the farmers, stating that the government will facilitate bank loans for the returnable plots allocated to them. He also addressed concerns surrounding potential additional land acquisition, assuring farmers that no decisions will be made against their interests. Further land acquisition will be limited to the needs of an international airport and cricket stadium, mirroring the successful model of Hyderabad’s Shamshabad Airport development. He promised improved infrastructure, including bridges and ring roads, to boost connectivity and economic growth in the region.

Addressing farmer requests, Naidu pledged to establish a museum commemorating the Amaravati movement and to expedite land titles for residents lacking ownership within village limits. The meeting, attended by several ministers and MLAs, concluded with a renewed sense of optimism for the Amaravati project’s future, with the Chief Minister promising continued support and collaboration with the farming community.
