Sat Apr 26 19:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Alianza Lima Match Postponed Due to Inclement Weather

**Cajamarca, Peru** – The highly anticipated Liga 1 match between Alianza Lima and Comerciantes Unidos, scheduled for Saturday, April 26th, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. A flight carrying the Alianza Lima team was unable to land in Cajamarca due to severe weather conditions.

According to Liga 1 MAX journalist Eduardo Combe, the pilot made several attempts to land before ultimately deciding to return to Lima. Combe reported witnessing the anxiety of some players, including goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra, during the abrupt ascent. The challenging weather conditions, including low visibility, prevented a successful landing.

The Liga de Fútbol Profesional (LFP) subsequently issued a statement confirming the postponement. Rescheduling the match for Sunday, April 27th, proved impossible due to logistical challenges involving VAR and broadcast arrangements. A new date and time for the match will be announced in the coming days.

The postponement comes at a time when Alianza Lima is enjoying a successful run in the Copa Libertadores 2025, recently defeating Talleres de Córdoba 3-2. Currently sitting third in the Liga 1 Apertura tournament with 19 points, they trail leaders Universitario and Deportivo Garcilaso by a single point.
