**SRINAGAR, INDIA –** Prime Minister Narendra Modi today strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 people. Expressing his profound grief, PM Modi stated that the terrorists and their backers aim to destabilize and destroy Kashmir. He described the attack as a “big conspiracy” fueled by a desire to inflict further harm on the region.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has assumed responsibility for investigating the April 22nd attack. In the aftermath, security forces have launched a crackdown, demolishing the homes of at least 10 suspected terrorists across Jammu and Kashmir. One of the demolished houses belonged to Adil Hussain Thokar, identified as a perpetrator of the Pahalgam massacre which took place in the Baisaran meadow. The Prime Minister’s statement underscores the government’s resolve to combat terrorism and bring those responsible to justice.
