Sun Apr 27 17:32:45 UTC 2025: ## Wanted Thief Injured After Leap From Building During Police Chase
**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** A thief wanted in connection with at least eight theft cases across Andhra Pradesh sustained injuries after jumping from the second floor of a building while attempting to evade police. Rayudu Durga Rao, a resident of Mandapeta in Konaseema district, was apprehended following the incident on Sunday.
Rao, who is suspected of thefts in Mandapeta, Ravulapalem, Rayavaram, and Ramachandrapuram, most recently committed a theft at a shop in Vambay Colony. Following the incident, he was admitted to the Government General Hospital (GGH) for treatment of multiple injuries. Police are currently holding him in custody.
