**MUMBAI, INDIA – May 1, 2025** – NDTV announced robust financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, revealing a 26% year-on-year revenue increase. The fourth quarter alone saw a 19% jump, fueled by successful coverage of major events like the Mahakumbh and Delhi elections, as well as flagship properties. The network’s digital presence also thrived, experiencing a 47% surge in users.

While the company reported a net loss for the fiscal year, attributed to significant investments in infrastructure expansion, digital modernization, and brand building, including the launch of NDTV Marathi and NDTV World, the company remains optimistic about future profitability. These investments, which included expanding its distribution footprint and developing new intellectual properties like the NDTV World Summit, are viewed as foundational steps towards building a globally competitive media business.

Executive Director and Editor-in-Chief Sanjay Pugalia stated that FY 2024-25 was a year of ambitious investment in the future, laying the groundwork for a more agile and globally-focused network.

Further bolstering the network’s future plans, NDTV also announced the appointment of Rahul Kanwal as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 16, 2025. Kanwal, a veteran journalist with extensive experience at various prominent news organizations, will bring his expertise to lead the network into its next phase of growth. The appointment is subject to approval from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
