**Thiruvananthapuram, April 27, 2025** – The Kerala government is launching a new digital initiative to improve the health and physical well-being of students. Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty will release digital content related to health and physical education on Monday at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).
Developed by the State Institute of Educational Technology, the digital resources are based on SCERT’s ‘Healthy Kids’ handbook. The program aims to address the shortage of physical education teachers in some schools by providing teachers with accessible training materials to conduct physical education activities. This initiative is part of a larger government program focused on improving the quality of education in Kerala. The launch event will be presided over by Director of General Education Shanavas S., with SCERT director Jayaprakash R.K. serving as the chief guest.
