**TOLEDO, OH** – Get ready Toledo! The 48th annual Mercy Health Glass City Marathon is set to take place this Sunday, bringing a weekend of races and festivities to the city. Over 1,700 runners are expected to participate in the marathon alone, with a significant portion qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
The event, hosted by the Toledo Roadrunners Club and sanctioned by USA Track & Field, offers a variety of races for all ages and abilities, including a half-marathon, 5K, a 5-person relay marathon, and a kids’ run. A Health Expo will be held at Savage Arena on Friday and Saturday, allowing for in-person registration and packet pickup.
**Road Closures Planned:** Extensive road closures are planned throughout the weekend, particularly around the University of Toledo campus and surrounding areas in west Toledo, Ottawa Hills, Sylvania, and Sylvania Township.
