**Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh –** Eight people were injured when a private bus overturned near Shantinagar village in Palnadu district on Saturday morning. The Sri Lakshmi Gayatri Travels bus, carrying 40 passengers from Hyderabad to Chirala, veered off the road and overturned near an Indian Oil petrol station around 5:45 a.m. Police attribute the accident to driver negligence.

Quick action by locals and police prevented a greater tragedy. Rescue efforts involved police teams from Nakirikallu and Narasaraopet, who worked alongside local residents to pull passengers from the wreckage. Heavy machinery, including cranes and earthmovers, was used to rescue a 27-year-old woman trapped beneath the bus. The injured were transported to a local hospital.

Palnadu District Superintendent of Police Kanchi Srinivasa Rao praised the swift response of all involved, highlighting the cooperation between police, locals, and the media.
