**Ranipetta, April 27, 2025** – A 13-year-old boy, S. Kannan, drowned in a pond at Amarapuram village near Walajah town on Sunday. Kannan, a Class VII student at Government High Secondary School in Walajah, was orphaned at a young age and lived with relatives. While his relatives were working in the fields, he went to meet a friend without telling them. After a search, his clothes were found near the pond, leading to the discovery of his body by emergency responders. Police are investigating the incident.
