**Santiago, Chile –** Brazil secured a resounding victory at the Pan-American and Oceania Judo Championships in Santiago, Chile, on April 26th, accumulating a dominant medal haul. The team’s performance was highlighted by Beatriz Souza’s gold medal in the over 78 kg category, adding to her Olympic successes in Paris.

Souza’s triumph was part of a larger Brazilian domination. The women’s team secured nine medals, including three golds, three silvers, and three bronzes. Other gold medalists included Natasha Ferreira (up to 48kg), Shirlen Nascimento (up to 57kg), and Nauana Silva (up to 63kg), while Luana Carvalho and Bianca Reis both earned bronze medals. Jessica Pereira took silver in the up to 52 kg category.

The men’s team was equally impressive, bringing home five gold medals.
