**KOCHI, INDIA (April 27, 2025)** – Manish Kumar, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Teramo in Italy, has been awarded the prestigious Prof. K. Girish Kumar Endowment Award for his outstanding thesis in analytical chemistry. The award, presented annually, recognizes exceptional work in the field and includes a ₹15,000 cash prize and a citation. Kumar’s research was conducted at the Faculty of Biosciences and Technologies for Agriculture, Food and Environment. The award is named in honor of Prof. Girish Kumar, a former head of the Department of Applied Chemistry at Cochin University of Science and Technology. The award ceremony will take place in Kochi on April 28th.
