**Lucknow, April 27, 2024** – A change in weather is expected in Uttar Pradesh starting Sunday, April 27th, according to the latest weather forecast. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of cloudy skies and light to moderate rain from April 27th to May 1st due to a Western Disturbance. Winds could gust up to 40-50 kilometers per hour.
While Saturday is expected to be clear, some areas in the western and eastern parts of the state may experience heatwave conditions. The maximum temperature will remain relatively stable for the next 48 hours, but a 2-4 degree Celsius drop is anticipated thereafter. Minimum temperatures are projected to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next five days.
Heatwave warnings are specifically in place for several districts including Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, and Firozabad, and surrounding areas.
