**KOCHI, April 26, 2025** – Two individuals, Abubacker Siddique (42) and Smisha (31), were arrested in Perumbavoor, Kerala on Saturday for allegedly possessing 5 grams of MDMA. A special squad from the Perumbavur ASP, acting on a tip-off from the Ernakulam Rural District Police Chief, apprehended the pair at a lodge.
Police reported that the suspects sold the drug in small quantities for ₹1,000 to young people. Siddique, with a history of five NDPS Act cases, was previously arrested for MDMA possession last December and released in March. Authorities allege he resumed his drug trafficking activities shortly after his release, sourcing the MDMA from Bengaluru.
