VIJAYAWADA, April 26, 2025 – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting on Friday with Nettem Sri Raghuram, the NTR district president of the TDP, to discuss pressing issues in the district. Key topics included infrastructure projects and land ownership rights.
Raghuram highlighted the need for a new high-level bridge to replace the severely damaged Paleti Bridge on the Jaggayyapeta–Muktyala road. He also urged improved connectivity for the bridge currently under construction over the Krishna River.
A significant portion of the discussion focused on the plight of Inam landowners, who face difficulties in selling, mortgaging, or proving ownership of their land due to legal constraints. Raghuram requested a permanent solution granting them full ownership rights.
Finally, Raghuram advocated for the immediate commencement of the Muktyala Lift Irrigation Project, a long-awaited project aiming to provide irrigation to over 38,000 acres and drinking water to 30 villages. The project was initially proposed by the TDP government during a previous term.
