**Princeton, NJ** – A large-scale search is underway for Lauren Blackburn, a 23-year-old Princeton University undergraduate student missing since April 19th. Princeton University’s Department of Public Safety has confirmed that Blackburn was last seen around 6 p.m. near Firestone Library.

Blackburn is described as 6’2″, 170 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with torn knees, a yellow t-shirt, a black zippered hooded sweatshirt, and blue flat-bottom shoes.

Authorities are concentrating their search efforts on Carnegie Lake, located near the campus, after Blackburn’s cellphone was pinged in the area. The university’s Department of Public Safety has issued multiple social media pleas for the public’s assistance.

Blackburn, an Indiana native, was a staff writer for *The Daily Princetonian*, the university’s student newspaper, and a National Merit Scholar.
