**New Delhi, April 26, 2025** – Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat issued a strong condemnation of the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, placing blame squarely on Pakistan. Speaking at the launch of “The Hindu Manifesto” in New Delhi on Saturday, Bhagwat emphasized the responsibility of leadership to protect its people, drawing parallels from the epic Ramayana.
Bhagwat argued that while Ravana possessed many positive qualities, his failure to use them for good necessitated his demise, a killing he characterized as an act of non-violence. He further justified the use of force against those who are irredeemably violent, citing the Bhagavad Gita and Arjuna’s actions as a comparable example.
The RSS chief’s comments come in the wake of the deadly Pahalgam attack, prompting a call for decisive action against those who perpetrate such violence. He stressed India’s inherent nature of non-violence, but underscored the necessity of a forceful response when peaceful methods fail to reform irredeemably violent individuals. The event was marked by Bhagwat’s attendance at the book launch of “The Hindu Manifesto,” authored by Swami Vigyananand of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
