**DETROIT –** The Detroit Tigers continued their winning ways Wednesday, defeating the hot San Diego Padres 6-0 behind a stellar pitching performance by Reese Olson. Olson held the Padres to just two hits over 7⅓ innings, showcasing impressive efficiency and command. The win gave the Tigers a series victory over the previously red-hot Padres, improving their record to 15-10.
Olson’s success stemmed from his pinpoint accuracy, throwing 21 of 25 first-pitch strikes. Manager A.J. Hinch praised Olson’s relentless approach, keeping Padres hitters off balance with a variety of pitches. Despite facing a lineup with six right-handed batters, Olson excelled, aided by stellar defensive plays, including a remarkable catch by Javier Báez.
